I'm not the person that I used to be. After the Pandemic lockdowns ended, I struggled with social anxiety, which severely impacted my approach to making candid photography. I can't lose myself in crowds the way that I used too, I actively avoid them now. I faced a conundrum, how do I make candid images of people without triggering myself? It forced me to rethink how I worked, I developed a more mindful approach, using longer focal lengths and a more abstracted style that gives me positive space to work without overwhelming myself. Within these strictures I've discovered a profound sense of purpose and creative freedom. I guess it was meant to be.
